Castle Fuels (2008) Inc. is a marketer for Suncor/Petro-Canada, providing fuel service, distribution and lubricant products throughout the Cariboo, Thompson-Okanagan and Kootenay regions of BC. The company was established in 2008 with the corporate office located in Kamloops. Castle Fuels (2008) Inc. has 14+ bulk plants and cardlocks and employs over 75 employees.

Job Opening # 1:

Administrative Sales & Marketing Coordinator – Remote Position

General Responsibility:

The Administrative Sales & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working remotely from a home office providing full administrative support to the Manager of Sales which includes but is not limited to: customer service, client research and portfolio development, client and market report generation and analysis, website and social media management, ongoing communication with Castle Fuels locations, as well as administrative support for promotional events.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with customers while providing timely and professional customer service support; answering queries, investigating and resolving issues, providing product knowledge, pricing and timelines
  • Fully assist the Sales Manager with various sales and marketing related tasks including:
  • Client portfolio research, report development, analysis and tracking
  • Client database development and maintenance
  • Booking and coordinating appointments, site visits and marketing events
  • Preparing sales and marketing information booklets
  • Update the back-end with customer pricing, price increases, product maintenance etc.
  • Inventory management of all Castle Fuels rental tanks, including tracking, arranging mobilization/demobilization, and billing of monthly rental tanks
  • Coordinating Castle Fuels donations, sponsorships and tradeshows
  • Foster strong and effective relationships with product and equipment suppliers; research and purchase product and equipment in a timely manner to meet clients needs
  • Update and maintain the Castle Fuels website as well as social media outlets including Facebook and Instagram
  • Liaise with Castle Fuels staff regarding product pricing, lubricant technical support and cross-referencing
  • Liaise with Castle Fuel locations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and address issues
  • Work with the credit department regarding credit issues and developing credit reports

Education, Skills and Abilities:

  • Post-secondary education with a strong focus on administration
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an office or sales administrator
  • Sales experience or sales support experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products and must be able to learn alternate software platforms
  • Customer service focused with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working directly with customers
  • Superior communication skills both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven to be technically savvy (product learning and knowledge is quite technical)
  • Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and innately resourceful
  • Disseminates considerable professional demeanor and decorum

Operations Supervisor – Petro-Pass Bulk Station Salmon Arm

Castle Fuels has an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Full Time Operations Supervisor at our Salmon Arm Petro-Pass located at 4941 46 Ave SE.

THE ROLE: (Please note that training for this role will take place in Kamloops and pay for kilometres & travel time will be provided)

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this position manages the operations of the Petro-Pass Bulk Facility. Some Duties include:

  • Provide training, leadership and guidance to cardlock, warehouse & delivery attendant, customer service administrators and fuel truck drivers.
  • Manage the inspection processes: documenting regular daily, weekly and monthly inspections, regular worker observations including ride-alongs with drivers to ensure safe work practice and evaluations are complete.
  • Recruitment, onboarding and training of new staff with the assistance and support of the Human Resources Team.
  • Collaborate with Castle Fuels operational teams and dispatchers.
  • Oversee operational, and administrative day to day functions, programs, projects, and/or services (dispatching & logistics, purchasing, customer service, handling, storing and shipping of hazardous waste).
  • Work closely with Manager of Environmental Health and Safety to ensure that all reporting requirements are met. This includes but is not limited to implementing, documenting and overseeing health and safety programs, requirements, training and initiatives including creating working alone plans.
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Responsible for managing site operational expenses & inventory management.
  • This position is responsible to be on call for any site/employee emergencies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary certificate/ diploma in business/management, logistics, transportation considered an asset
  • Minimum 3-years’ experience in an operations leadership role with four or more direct reports
  • Minimum 5 years’ customer service experience
  • BC Driver’s license Class 5 in good standing with ICBC
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Previous experience with budgeting processes
  • Experience developing new processes, systems and procedures
  • Familiar with environmental health and safety and DOT regulations

Job Opening # 3:

Bulk Plant Attendant & Delivery Driver – Kamloops Bulk Plant

We have a full-time permanent role at our busy Fuel Bulk Plant for someone who loves to work both in and out-of-doors, is a self-starter and has excellent customer service skills. If this is you, we would love to hear from you!

The Bulk Plant Attendant & Delivery Driver will have the responsibility of maintaining and monitoring the bulk plant cardlock area, doing basic repairs and delivering lubricant products in and around the Kelowna area. They will also provide vacation relief to other cardlock locations in the Kelowna and Penticton area.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm (one hour lunch)

Some Job Duties Include
• Complete daily and weekly processes and inspections including: fuel dips, change out garbage’s and windshield buckets, cleaning cardlock, office floors, bathrooms.
• Complete minor repairs including replacing of damaged hoses and nozzles
• Receive and record customer lubricant orders
• Complete paperwork associated with day to day duties and safety requirements
• Occasionally transport customer lubricant deliveries in and around Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton and possibly Grand Forks
• Completes all required documentation, forms, checklists, and reporting within the timelines established as appropriate
• Greets, welcomes all walk-in customers and provides superior customer service.

Experience / Qualifications / Skills
• Great Driving Habits: BC Class 5 driver’s license in good standing – air brake endorsement is considered an asset, must provide a clean and current ICBC Drivers abstract
• Up to date forklift ticket an asset
• Basic knowledge and comfort level with computers
• Physically fit to be on your feet most of the day and to perform heavy lifting

Castle Fuels has an immediate opening for experienced fuel truck drivers who are safety driven and care about the customers they serve. Reporting to the Dispatch and Operations Manager, the Fuel Truck Driver will work 5 days per week with a regular schedule.
