Castle Fuels (2008) Inc. is committed to the health and safety of our employees as well as the protection of the environment and the communities we operate in. With safety as a priority, management accepts responsibility for providing a safe working environment and employees are expected to take responsibility for performing work in accordance with safe standards and practices.

A very important part of our Safety Program is called Fleet Safety. The Fleet Safety Program is reviewed annually by all managers and drivers. Some of the items that are part of this program include Fatigue Management, Drug and Alcohol Testing Standards, Working Alone and Refusal of Unsafe Work. Fleet Safety Emergency Response Manuals, which every driver is required to review semi-annually is kept in every Castle Fuels (2008) Inc. vehicle.

Our policy and programs are reviewed constantly by both management and staff as safety standards are always changing. Monthly safety meetings, annual table top and live emergency response drills and environment health and safety regulation reviews are just part of our safety program. Employees are encouraged to record near misses and incidents that can then be shared with other sites in the hope of making everyone aware of what they might expect to encounter in the work place.

Safety and health can only be achieved through teamwork and that teamwork will hopefully find that everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.
